Barley Grass-Antioxidants

When most people here the word Barley they usually associate it with beer. Barley when fermented does make a great beer. Barley grass however, is what I want to talk about. This amazing grass has way more vitamin B1 and calcium than cow’s milk. It has more carotene and iron than spinach and an abundance of vitamin B12.

It has organic sodium that helps break down calcium that is deposited in the joint.  Calcium deposit is what makes your joints ache. The organic sodium also help the stomach lining from breaking down. This in turn, helps prevent ulcers. Barley grass helps with digestion that leads to a healthy digestion tract.

Barley grass that is harvested strictly for juicing contains 45 percent protein. For people living a vegetarian lifestyle, this is a great replacement for protein. It is also a strong antioxidant. Antioxidants are super important for attacking free radicals. Free Radicals are these evil little things floating around in the body destroying cells. When cells start to get destroyed, disease settles in. I don’t know about you, but I want little soldiers in the form of antioxidants on a search and destroy mission in my body.
